Oh, that Faith. I'm not quite sure what we are going to do with this one. Sometimes, I just sit back and watch her. You can see the wheels turning, and I sometimes fear what will come out that uncensored little mouth of hers. Most of the time, her thoughts are profound....lots of times hilarious.....and always honest. OH. SO. HONEST.
Faith is super excited about school. I am happy to get them out of the house, as well, but it also saddens me. Part of me always thought that I would get to stay at home with them at least part of their early years. That never came...and...well...the kids starting school just confirms that it never will. OH. WELL. My babies are growing up. I was explaining this to Faith just the other night. I was going on and on about how I was so sad that my babies were getting so big and beginning school. Faith looked at me and said, "It's ok momma. I come back. I come home." SO. SWEET.
She is so excited about school, she already knows exactly what she wants in a teacher. This is her description: "Ummmm...she have a desk, makeup on her lips, and pink shoes." NICE. I've been on the lookout for a teacher that matches that description.
Faith also tends to try to get herself out of trouble. Just yesterday, I was busy fussing about how none of our toys have the pieces with them....something that I CAN. NOT. STAND. I said, "Faith! Where are all the princesses to this castle!?" She says, "Ummmm....I not know (then leaning in with a grin)....maybe a sneaky fox took them!" OH. MY. I came back with, "Faith, you know that a sneaky fox did not take them." She just shrugged her shoulders.
She can also say the sweetest things. The other day, we were riding the golf cart (and...no...no one fell off and broke anything). The grass was getting tall and we were discussing how daddy needed to cut it. Faith comes out with, "It's gonna' be like a beanstalk. I'm gonna' climb it and say hey to Jesus!"
...and FINALLY....you must always watch what you say around Faith. She has made comments that you shouldn't "nut up." Clearly something that she has heard from an adult.
When I looked at her funny, she laughed and said, "That's my favit word."
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gotta' love her! :) We surely do!
