The Wild West

Well, the birthday week for the twins did not start off so good (for me at least), but it ended perfectly....

Faith and Cam's birthday fell on Monday. So far, their birthdays have always fallen on the weekend....so there was never a problem. Their annual checkup was on Friday. So, trying not to take off too much work, I decided to only ask off on Friday....bad choice....REALLY. BAD. CHOICE.

So, I really didn't take into account how TERRIBLE it would be not seeing the kids wake up on their birthday. I leave long before they get up. I was a bit upset Monday morning. To make it worse, they were not awake when Cody left, either. To me, that was just absurd....my poor babies didn't see either of their parents on the morning of their birthday!!!....and...oh...it got better. I had a meeting that afternoon. Therefore, it was 5:30 before I got home. What. A. Terrible. Mother. In fact, most of the people in my family saw my children before I did. I was upset. That is an understatement, actually. The good news is that the kids didn't seem to care. It didn't seem to matter to them! WHEW!

That evening we celebrated with pizza and cupcakes. Faith and Cameron both received Nabis from us.  They also loved the part of getting birthday cards in the mail. It was really cute.  Poor Mallory. It was a bit hard for her to understand. She was the only one that didn't get a gift or a card!!! Luckily, Faith and Cam were willing to let her hold a card or dollar along! :)

The birthday party was Saturday. We were pushing it to get everything done, but it went really well! Faith and Cameron were SUPER excited about their western party! It was a bit cold outside, but the kids loved playing in their western town made of cardboard boxes inside. The kids were blessed with some great guests and wonderful presents! Here are a few pictures.....

All the kids had a goodie bag, cowboy hat, and bandanna!

Let's PARTY!

SUPER cute shot of some of the kiddos having some snacks!

 Cowboy Cameron!

Busting through the doors....I wanted to do a saloon, but Cody made me do a Barber.

They weren't so sure about everyone singing to them!

Mallory had some fun, too!
